Doctor Peter Schatteman graduated in 1998 from the School of Medicine at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. In July 2004, he completed his residency at the Urological Department of the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw Clinic, Aalst, Belgium. From Aug 2004 till Nov 2005, he did clinical fellowships in urological oncology, laparoscopy, and endo-urology (Fundacio Puigvert, Barcelona - Universitätsklinikum Charité Campus Mitte, Berlin - Städtisches Klinikum, Karlsruhe). Since December 2005, he is a full staff member at the Urological Department of the O.L.V.-Clinic in Aalst, Belgium. His major interests are urological oncology and laser techniques. He pioneered HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) in the Benelux, organizes Holmium-User Workshops, and is a proctor for Lumenis and Quanta System. He is Chair of the Multi-Disciplinary Uro-Onco Team at the O.L.V.-Clinic and Principal Investigator in numerous clinical trials on Prostate/Bladder/Kidney Cancer. Dokter Peter Schatteman studeerde in 1998 af aan de School of Medicine van de Universiteit Antwerpen, België. In juli 2004 voltooide hij zijn residentie op de urologische dienst van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwkliniek, Aalst, België. Van aug. 2004 tot nov. 2005 deed hij klinische fellowships in urologische oncologie, laparoscopie en endo-urologie (Fundacio Puigvert, Barcelona - Universitätsklinikum Charité Campus Mitte, Berlijn - Städtisches Klinikum, Karlsruhe). Sinds december 2005 is hij volwaardig staflid op de Urologische Dienst van de O.L.V.-Kliniek in Aalst, België. Zijn grootste interesses zijn urologische oncologie en lasertechnieken. Hij was de pionier van HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) in de Benelux, organiseert Holmium-User Workshops en is proctor voor Lumenis en Quanta System.
