Dr. Edward Lambert

Since 2023, doctor Edward Lambert is a urologist in the OLV hospital who is active in the Aalst, Asse and Ninove region.
He graduated as a Master of Science in Medicine at the Ghent University in 2016, after which he further specialized in urological surgery.
After completing his medical specialty training in 2022, he did a one-year clinical fellowship at the department of urology of the Hôpital Pitié-Salpétriêre in Paris (France), where he continued his expertise in robotic surgery and urologic oncology. Since 2022, he is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) and associate member of the Young Academic Urologists section of the European Association of Urology (EAU).
His personal interests lie primarily in urological oncology, minimally invasive (laser) surgery and robotic surgery.
He has published several scientific papers on these topics in renowned peer- reviewed scientific journals.
He is a PhD candidate at the Ghent University, where he conducted research on metastatic prostate cancer and robot-assisted prostate surgery.

Dokter Edward Lambert is sinds 2023 uroloog in het OLV ziekenhuis en is actief in de campussen Aalst, Asse en Ninove.
Hij behaalde in 2016 zijn Master of Science in de geneeskunde aan de Universiteit Gent, waarna hij zich verder specialiseerde in de urologische heelkunde.
Na het beëindigen van zijn specialisatieopleiding in 2022 deed hij gedurende een jaar een klinisch fellowship op de dienst urologie van het Hôpital Pitié-Salpétriêre te Parijs (Frankrijk), waar hij zich verder bekwaamde in de robotchirurgie en urologische oncologie.
Sinds 2022 is hij ook Fellow van de European Board of Urology (FEBU) en is hij lid van de Young Academic Urologists sectie van de Europese Vereniging van Urologie (EAU).
Zijn persoonlijke interesses liggen voornamelijk in urologische oncologie, minimaal invasieve (laser)chirurgie en robotchirurgie. Hij heeft dan ook reeds meerdere wetenschappelijke artikels omtrent deze topics gepubliceerd in gerenommeerde wetenschappelijke tijdschriften.
Hij is PhD kandidaat aan de Universiteit Gent, waar hij onderzoek deed naar gemetastaseerd prostaatcarcinoma en robot-geassisteerde prostaatchirurgie.
