It concerns an expansion of the tangle of blood vessels around the testicle. Usually this condition causes little or no complaints. Because of the risk of reduced fertility, pronounced varicose veins are best corrected preventively. In our department, this is preferably done by means of a sclerosis (injection) of this tangle of blood vessels via a small scrotum incision (1 cm), an operation that can be performed via a day clinic.
